Dr. Allan Stockley
Dr. Stockley immigrated to Canada in 1979 and in 1984 established Eagle Ridge Animal and Bird Hospital in partnership with Dr. Upjohn. Dr. Stockley has strong practice management skills and works hard to keep the practice working smoothly.
He has a special interest in surgery and performs most procedures with the use of a laser surgical unit.
Dr. Stockley belongs to the following associations:

Dr. Hugh Upjohn
Dr. Upjohn graduated in 1979 from the Ontario Veterinary College. He
enjoys handling chall- enging internal medicine cases, particularly
cases involving exotic animal patients. As well as caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Upjohn is well
trained in caring for birds, rabbits, reptiles and a wide range of
exotic pets.
Dr. Upjohn is a past president of the Vancouver Academy of Veterinarians, and is a member of the following associations:

Dr. Sylvia Huang
Dr. Huang graduated with a Bachelor's degree from UBC before heading off to Australia for her veterinary degree. She graduated from veterinary school in 2004 and headed to Alberta, where she worked at a mixed-animal practice.
After two years of working with cows, horses, small animals and living in a small town, she returned to the Lower Mainland to join Eagle Ridge Animal and Bird Hospital. She loves meeting new puppies and kittens and educating new owners on their new pets. She enjoys surgery and is learning orthopedic procedures from Dr. Stockley. She also likes working with rabbits,
ferrets, most small pocket pets and is learning more about birds on a daily basis.

Julianne Mantler
Eagle Ridge Animal and
Bird Hospital would like to welcome our newest member to our
veterinary staff, Dr. Julianne Mantler. She grew up in Vancouver and
lived in the Lower Mainland for most of her life. After graduating
from the UBC pre-vet program with a Bachelor of Science in
Agriculture in 2000, she went on to graduate from veterinary school
at Murdoch University in Australia in 2005. Prior to returning to
BC, she practiced at a very busy small animal hospital in Perth. She
has a keen interest in canine behaviour and small animal nutrition,
and she plans on furthering her studies in these areas. She has a
real soft spot for those spunky little terrier breeds, especially
for her Jack Russell Terrier, Bruiser!!
